Do players pay anything?
No. Players never pay TallyPuck. Any fees your league charges stay between you and your players.
How are teams counted?
By the most teams you run in any one season during the time you've paid for, with all your divisions together. A league with an A division of 4 teams and a B division of 6 has 10 teams, so it's on Standard.
What happens when the free season ends?
Before it ends, we'll email you to pick a plan and pay by card. If you don't, your site goes read-only: nothing is deleted, last season's results stay up, and you can still download everything. Pick a plan any time to start the next season.
Our league only plays part of the year. Do we pay for the whole year?
No. Pay monthly for the months you play, and stop when the season's over. Your stats and history stay put for next time.
Can we bring our old stats?
Yes. Import season totals from Excel, Google Sheets or a .csv file, one row per player per season. They show on draft cards and in the balance check from your very first draft on TallyPuck.
Can we leave and take our data?
Yes. A commissioner can download every player, roster, game and stat as spreadsheets at any time, on any plan, even after you stop paying.
What if the rink Wi-Fi is bad?
The scorekeeping screen keeps working without a signal. It saves everything on the iPad and sends it when the connection comes back.
We have kids in our league. Is that OK?
Yes. Players under 18 sign up with a parent or guardian's email, which gets a copy of league emails, and they're kept off the public site. Children under 13 are added by the commissioner with a parent's OK. The privacy policy has the details.
Ice or roller? 4 on 4 or 5 on 5?
Both, and either. Periods, overtime, shootouts, standings points and tiebreakers are all set in Settings, starting from a preset for your kind of league.
